Recently, at the professional exhibition area of the 2025 China International Big Data Industry Expo (referred to as "Big Data Expo") held in Guiyang, these scenes full of technological sense vividly depict the picture of "artificial intelligence +" accelerating the empowerment of thousands of industries.

Among the digital economy-related products and service solutions brought by 375 domestic and foreign exhibitors, over 60% are related to "Artificial Intelligence +". This not only allows the audience to "touch" future life in advance, but also serves as a vivid footnote to China's promotion of the "Artificial Intelligence Plus" initiative and deepening of the construction of "Digital China".

Relying on the "Vehicle Operation Status of the Province's Expressways" module, the traffic management department of Guizhou Province has drawn a "Real-time Vehicle Operation Map of the Province's Expressways" by integrating data from expressway traffic police checkpoints, traffic ETC, and toll station ramp checkpoints. This enables early prediction of peak traffic flow and timely guidance of vehicles to divert from suburban ramps, effectively alleviating congestion. It is understood that the system has provided transportation support for over a thousand large-scale events across the province, improving traffic efficiency.

As China's first national-level big data comprehensive experimental zone, the application scenarios of intelligent technologies in Guizhou are far from limited to this.

To facilitate tourists' visits to Guizhou during summer, the province has launched a smart tourism assistant called "Huang Xiaoxi". The name "Huang Xiaoxi" is derived from the three most representative scenic spots in Guizhou Province - Huangguoshu Waterfall, Libo Small Seven Holes and Xijiang Thousand Households Miao Village. Looking across the country, the reach of "Artificial Intelligence +" has also extended to more fields: The intelligent inspection robot used in Daqing Oilfield, with its high-precision oil leakage identification and other capabilities, has significantly improved the operation and maintenance efficiency of oil pipelines. The AI education terminal in Shanghai can grade homework in real time and push targeted exercises, and is called "AI private tutor" by parents. The Guangzhou Municipal Government Service Center has integrated data from dozens of departments, enabling an increasing number of matters to be handled online, achieving the goal of "reducing the public's legwork and allowing data to do more of the running".

The rapid development of intelligent technology cannot be separated from a solid industrial foundation. China has become the world's largest holder of artificial intelligence patents, accounting for 60%. By the end of 2024, 302 generative AI services in China have completed filing, and 9.4 million software developers are active on the front line of innovation, providing core support for technological iteration.

To promote the development of the artificial intelligence industry, the Chinese government has introduced policies such as the "Next Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Plan" in recent years and provided special funds for support. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments have established a national artificial intelligence fund with a scale of 60 billion yuan, continuously laying out projects for the integration of artificial intelligence and the economy. More than 400 specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative "little giant" enterprises in the field of artificial intelligence are rising rapidly, transforming "artificial intelligence empowerment" from an abstract concept into tangible and visible real changes.

Xie Shaofeng, the chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, introduced that this year's government work report proposed to continuously promote the "Artificial Intelligence Plus" initiative, better integrating digital technology with manufacturing and market advantages, and supporting large-scale and wide application.

China recently issued the "Opinions on Deeply Implementing the 'Artificial Intelligence Plus' Action", which proposes to accelerate the implementation of six key actions including science and technology, industrial development, consumption quality improvement, people's livelihood and well-being, governance capacity, and global cooperation regarding "Artificial Intelligence Plus", and has drawn a clear path for the development of the industry.
